
Dr. Ali completed medical school in India, where he was noted the best outgoing student from his class. He then went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine, receiving a gold medal, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Ali practiced as a Gastroenterologist before coming to the United States, at which time he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, N.Y. Following his Residency, Dr. Ali then did his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Ali was Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was awarded “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” in 1998. Prior to joining Mid-Atlantic Endoscopy Center, Dr. Ali worked as an Attending Gastroenterologist at the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, Delaware for four years.
Dr. Ali places an extraordinary emphasis on compassionate and friendly care of his patients. Dr. Ali has received the honor of being appointed as Physician Ambassador by the GI nurses in Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals, for his excellent patient care. Taking the time to connect with his patients is an important part of his patient care philosophy.
